queso.camp (“we,” “us,” or “the Service”) is a personal tool that tracks campsite availability at public campgrounds and notifies you when sites you care about open up. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service or subscribing to alerts, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Contact information you provide so we can send the alerts you request — such as your email address and, if you opt in to text alerts, your mobile phone number.
• Basic technical data generated automatically when you visit the site (e.g. IP address, browser type, and server logs) used to operate and secure the Service.

We do not collect payment information, and we do not knowingly collect any sensitive personal data.

How we use your information

• To send you the campsite availability alerts you signed up for, by email and/or SMS.
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
• To respond to your requests and communicate with you about the Service.

Text messaging (SMS)

If you opt in to SMS alerts, you consent to receive automated text messages at the number you provide. Message frequency varies with campsite activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe at any time, or HELP for assistance.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information — including your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data — with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is used only to deliver the alerts you requested.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to run the Service and deliver notifications — for example, cloud hosting and email/SMS delivery vendors. These providers process your information only as needed to perform services for us and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. Availability data is sourced from public campground reservation systems; we are not affiliated with those systems.

Data retention

We keep your contact information for as long as you remain subscribed to alerts, and delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period after you unsubscribe, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from email alerts using the link in any alert email, and from SMS alerts by replying STOP. You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
